The Green and Golden Bell Frog (Litoria Aurea) The Kurnell Land Fill restoration site is home to a population of the Green and Golden Bell Frogs (Litoria Aurea). A species conservation area has been established on the site, and has been endorsed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Studies have been undertaken by a number of specialised consultants including The Australian Museum, Sydney University and private consulting biologists. Species management is an ongoing feature of site operations, and the Land Restoration Management Plan includes a wetland conservation area, which will incorporate long term species management, not only for the frog, but for other native species as well. |
